STUDENT/FAMILY NEWS

• Taylor's family went bowling on New Year's Eve with another family.  Taylor had one strike and five spares. At the stroke of midnight, she was watching Times Square on T.V.
• Katya's brother, Lucas, had a hockey tournament in Grand Forks, North Dakota over the break.  Katya and her friends made up chants to cheer Lucas's Fort Garry Flyers 9 year old team on to victory. The Flyers won the championship and a gold medal, thanks to hard work AND the cheering squad.
• Joanne and her family will be celebrating New Year's with friends at their Vietnamese church. Joannes' father will be playing the guitar and singing to entertain all the guests.
• On the weekend, Reet and his parents moved into a new home in Whyte Ridge. Reet can see the moon and the stars out the window of his new room!
• On New year's Eve, Ellie's family hosted a party.  Everyone watched the Jets  win a close game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Sacramental Preparation:

Preparing a child to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist is primarily the responsibility of parents. The church and the school work in association with families to support this process. St. John Brebeuf Pastoral Associate, Tom Bailey-Robertson, is the parish contact person for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.  All candidates MUST be registered in the parish office.
